UNIVERSITAS PADJADJARAN CHOIR (UNPAD CHOIR)
Universitas Padjadjaran Choir (Unpad Choir) is one of the student activity units in Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia that has been established since 1978. With 150 active members from various disciplines, Unpad Choir has grown to be one of the student activity units that acquire an important role in both ceremonial and protocol activities in Universitas Padjadjaran.
In Universitas Padjadjaran, Unpad Choir has been known as the biggest and also one of the best student activity units in Universitas Padjadjaran with their strong organizational management. This is proven by the various awards that Unpad Choir has received front Universitas Padjadjaran; some of them are: Best Student Activity Unit from Dies Natalis Universitas Padjadjaran 2012 and 2013, Best Student Activity Unit in Art Category from Unpad Awards 2012, 2013, and 2015, and also Appreciation as student activity unit with the most achievements in Anugerah Prestasi 2017 Universitas Padjadjaran.
Regarding its existence in the choral world, Unpad Choir has succeeded in making a name for itself as one of the prominent university choirs in Indonesia by winning various national and international choral competitions and festivals. Until now, Unpad Choir has kept improving their performance as one of the best choir in Indonesia. In 2017, Unpad Choir has been awarded as the 1st winner of the Folklore category, the 2nd winner of the Choral Works category, and Best Interpretation of Romantic Choral Works by Johannes Bhrams “Es Geht Ein Wehen” from 54th International Competition of Choral Singing, Spittal an der Drau, Austria.
With its reputation, Unpad Choir has been trusted to perform for various events working with nationally and internationally acclaimed musicians.
